Bouquet in Blue Cotton Tote Bag
I love using free motion embroidery as it is just like sketching with stitch. My inspiration for this pretty tote was me recreating a sketch of a bouquet of flowers unto fabric.
I have kept the design mostly as a line ‘drawing’ in black thread. I appliqued and stitched blue flowers in satin and cotton. A splash of complementary yellow colour has been added in the form of a ribbon and a small button flower centre.
The tote is fully lined with a vintage style floral cotton fabric and has an internal patch pocket for keeping small things to hand. The straps are a comfortable wide width and can be worn on the shoulder. The bag fastens with a magnetic closure.
This is a sturdy and very handy tote for days out.
